Manarola in Cinque Terre, Italy is one of the 5 towns of this region, accessed by rail or ferry. We visited in winter when the crowds weren't too crazy, thankfully! The towns are a photographers dream, and I spent the day wandering, looking for the perfect spot. We waited and waited and got a beautiful sunset, however I kept shooting through until the lights in the town came on. I preferred the blue hour shot over the sunset shot for once! We rushed to catch the last train after I decided enough was enough.

Lud's Church is a remarkable geological formation located in the Peak District National Park, Staffordshire, England. This deep, moss-covered chasm was created by a massive landslip in the Millstone Grit bedrock, resulting in a natural ravine over 100 metres long and 18 metres deep. The stone steps winding up out of the gorge led me to take this image, which entices you in.

As you head away from the town of Ambleside, and up into the top of the Lakes District in the United Kingdom, the landscape changes dramatically and rapidly into this short hardy grass. The dramatic view as you come over the rise inspired me to get out and capture this image, with the gloomy clouds scudding overhead, it captures the essence of these highland areas.

The Tora River flows down through the Billingin area, in the Reinheimen National Park, in one of the high interior valleys of central Norway. A bridge that was first built in the 1900's crosses here, and allowed me to see the incredible flow of this river in full melt.

An amazing site, and precarious situation. The hike up from the base in Billingen, in the Reinheimen National Park is steep and beautiful. At this point a rock, wedged in between the cliffs allows walkers to pass from one side of the river to the other. The best spot for an image though, was perched on the side of a narrow lookout above the falls.

This Alpine lake in southern Norway sits high, and is an important source of Hydroelectric power. We were here in Mid Summer and there was still snow on the ground, it was incredible to see. The weather wasn't co-operating, until I got a tiny break in the wind and rain, to capture the still beauty that I had seen in this place.

Lofoten Islands, above the Arctic Circle in Norway are incredible, with mountains emerging from the ocean. We travelled there in Summer, and made it up to this incredible lookout at Offersøykammen, looking North towards the Arctic. It's a really short, hard hike and results in feeling on top of the world and exhausted.

Captured at 1am during Summer, This outstanding image had me standing out with Sheep on the beach for about 2 hours, as the sun dropped just under the horizon and then bobbed back up again. The waters of the Skjelfjorden lapped at my tripod feet, and I had to ensure the water movement didn't ruin the image.
