Intense colours characterize this amazing spot. Taken in the late afternoon, with sunlight bouncing down the gorge sides, this is some of the coldest water you will find in Australia, instantly numbing the body. I really love the structure of the rocks here as they reflect into the pool.

The Mosquitoes!! I captured this image of Wangi Falls in the Litchfield National Park during the middle of the Dry season.
To get to this spot is easy, there is a nice boardwalk and a lookout, however staying here past sunset is only for the brave or the foolhardy.
I was covered in Bushman's repellent, but even it wasn't up to the task of the massive 1.5cm mosquito's that were hovering on and around me. I remember lifting my eye from the camera after this shot to be confronted by a monster sitting atop my camera, looking right at me.
Nonetheless, this beautiful portrayal of the Wangi Falls in all their peaceful yet awe inspiring glory was well worth a few bites.

Roebuck Bay stretches to the south of Broome, in Western Australia. This image was taken on our Mavic 3 Pro, this is one of the only spots in the world where Tropical blue water mixes with bright red sand!

Icy cold, feet numb, tripod extended. Standing in the freezing water in Handrail Pool, I loved this composition as the fingers of rock under the water stretch into the next gorge.

The water slips down these hard iron rock terraces, flowing down off the Karijini Plateau. Sunset lights up the walls of the gorge and reflects into the flow.

A stunning sunset at our favourite lookout at El Questro, Branco's Lookout. El Questro is a popular station at the Eastern End of the Gibb River Road, Western Australia.

This is my 2nd visit to Devils Marbles (Karlu Karlu) and luckily this time I wasn't on a time schedule and could spend the night camping and exploring this amazing area. I went out mid afternoon after it had cooled a little to scout for my composition. I had something in mind in all 4 directions as I wasn't sure what the clouds were going to do. Once I was a little more decided and just before the start of sunset I jumped on my electric unicycle, Amanda on the mountain bike and we hit the track to this particular section.

A long awaited trip to Ormiston Gorge turned into 2 nights camping and all day swimming, kayaking and floating around the gorge. I couldn't have asked for better light or water levels to capture this one.

We were dying to go and find some beautiful autumn trees in the area as we love the colours they bring to life. We had heard about a rural community that proudly promoted having a great display of autumn so we did our usual and went for a drive.
It took some time for us to find something where the composition allowed you to drift into your own imagining and allow you to forget about the busy life each rural property entails. The white gates and the beautiful tree lined driveway combine to draw your eye into this image, getting lost in Autumn Splendour.

This photo was taken just inside the grounds of the Darwin Aeromodellers Club at East Point.
We went to East Point with the intention to take photos of the Harbour and mangroves at sunset. While I was scouting the location to find exactly what I wanted to capture, Amanda went for a walk.
She came hurrying back to me, saying that that I should see this beautiful tree and the sunset above it. I thought twice about it, but I had a little time before the sunset was going to light up where I was shooting, so wandered over to look at "the tree".
And this was what she saw, she was right, a stunning tree, with a stunning sunset above it.

A close up at sunset shows the impressive Wangi Falls, in Litchfield National Park at their best.
The light caresses the red rocks, leaving the cold blue of the water in it's shadow.
A small tree hangs onto the edges of the falls, never suffering a lack of water, only a lack of soil.

This image was taken during a trip to Victoria at the very start of 2017. I was at Whisky Bay for sunrise (just). We had been kicked out of our sleeping spot in the carpark at Whisky Bay for "Safety", so had to drive all the way out of the park at 11pm, and drive all the way back in at 4am!
Anyway, it was dark when we headed down to the beach. I got some beautiful pre-dawn photo's which I will share with you later, however during the sunrise I spotted this outcropping of rocks and decided to climb up to see if I could get a better view.
Near the top, I saw this incredible natural feature, a slit in the rocks with the surf pounding in and out, just as the natural red lichen in the area was being lit beautifully by the rising sun.

Whilst I was in the Otways National Park recently, I had heard about this amazing stand of Giant California Redwoods. They were planted in the 1930's as a softwood logging experiment, and never chopped down.
They are down a gravel road, about 30 km from the nearest town of Apollo Bay, and make a fantastic picnic spot.
The National Park was recently expanded to include this stand of tree's, the first time it's ever happened for an introduced species.
The sun was filtering through these amazing tree's, I quickly set up the camera and tripod and shot this beautiful scene of the moss covered Giant Redwoods on the banks of the Aire river.
I hope you enjoy this shot, which showcases the beauty of this imported species, in this one amazing spot in Victoria. I could have spent hours here!

Antelope Canyon is one of the most photographed and unreal places on the planet.
Hidden in the Arizona Desert, you would never pick the location existing if you hadn't heard about it. From the surface, these slot canyons look like little 2 -3m wide cracks in the desert floor. However once you descend to the bottom, the origin of the canyons becomes clear from the water smoothed contours. When it rains in this desert the water collects in these small canyons and smashes through carving them deeper and deeper.
This surreal image will intrigue any viewer.
