Captured at the iconic Maheno Wreck on Fraser Island we waited over 1 hour for sunset to happen. We weren't sure if any colour was going to occur in the sky due to the bank of cloud. The slight colour tones work really nicely in this image, it allows the wreck to be highlighted and keeps the artwork simple.

Hill Inlet is a highlight of our trip so far. The lookout gazes down on the ever changing water and sand, with the most amazing colours. We even spotted some stingrays from our vantage point up here. The bright blue water flowing through the sand draws your eye into the image. I could sit and look at this one for hours!

Sometimes you just have to try and try (and try!) again. This is how I felt recently attempting to take this iconic Newcastle scene, but it really was worth it.
I knew that I needed the rocks of the Nobbys pool to really make this composition work, so it was a matter of checking tides, being here for every sunrise and sunset and having my fingers crossed until everything came together and I got one that stood out.
The soft pastels of this image are exactly what I wanted, it really shows good things do come to those who work hard, persist and aim for quality. These colours and this iconic lighthouse showcase just how beautiful Newcastle can be and is.

Captured at the iconic Great Ocean Road viewing platform, this sunset was so late in a summer evening that we actually had dinner first. The golden cliffs and Apostles glow in this sunset, with the contrasting green flora leading your eye even more. I am so grateful of the opportunity to capture this natural wonder and unique landform.

After a full on day in my Gallery, I was pumped to stop talking about my artworks with people and get out and capture one!
This was my 4th attempt to get a nice Redhead sunset, each previous attempt foiled by nature, people or my own forgetfulness (Apparently I need a tripod to shoot).
I had really high hopes for this evening, there was a strong wind, and interesting cloud formation. I had hoped to get a nice vertical panorama with beautiful lit up clouds overhead.
As sometimes happens though, nature has its own intentions, and I just have to roll with it. This soft cloud glow was the best of the night, as the sun sank into a dense cloud bank before it really had a chance to bring much colour to the clouds.
I used the opportunity to get some muted sand and water colours, brought together by these incredible rock formations and the surf lifesaving tower. The quick moving clouds created a nice soft sky for the tower to stand against.

One summer evening we decided to join friends for a picnic at Warner's Bay. They told us it's usually lovely there for sunset, music, cheese and crackers. But this particular evening there was a storm approaching after a rainy day so the music was cancelled. We convened with our friends and decided to risk the weather and enjoy a night off from working. Ha, who am I kidding, I'm always working when we are out and about at sunset.
We were all sitting there and then all of a sudden we looked at each other and said 'I think the sunset might actually do something interesting'. I left Amanda, Aria and our friends, Erica and Ash and ran to the car to get my gear.
As I set myself up, this young couple perched themselves on the end of the pier, enjoying the moment, each other's company and their love for each other. The sun continued to set and give off these amazing sun rays and light up the sky. The lake was silent, calm and elegant, it matched the mood of this young couple perfectly.
The storm was still getting closer, so not long after this shot we packed up to head home before we got wet. Such a contrast to what was miserable rainy day.

Taken at the gorgeous Fingal Bay Spit, in the Nelson Bay region of NSW, this image brings to mind the things that the two separate bodies of water, constantly clashing and joining together can tell each other, and how it speaks of two people talking and sharing ideas, with the sandbar in between representing our individual understandings and beliefs.
It shows time continuing to pass and how change and movement are required, bringing growth and development. It correlates with bringing peace and happiness to individuals and groups of people in varying situations, whilst keeping some stability and flexibility like the sand.

Knutholmen Is a village on the Atlantic Coast of Norway, It has a rich tradition of fishing and drying the fish, with drying racks dominating any empty space on the islands to this day. We stayed here and had this amazing view for the night, however I had to wait until Midnight to capture this!

Captured at 1am during Summer, This outstanding image had me standing out with Sheep on the beach for about 2 hours, as the sun dropped just under the horizon and then bobbed back up again. The waters of the Skjelfjorden lapped at my tripod feet, and I had to ensure the water movement didn't ruin the image.

We reached the top of Wineglass Bay, hoping for an amazing sunset, and as we climbed over the peak and and saw the amazing view, the clouds and rain started rolling across the bay from the far side. I scoped out the shot composition I wanted, packed the camera away in it's bag, and we settled into our raincoats jackets and umbrellas to wait out the storm and see if something unique could happen. After 20 minutes, we got a break in the clouds and the sunset poked through, allowing me this unique and interesting image, far from the normal blue waters of Wineglass Bay.

After capturing this stunning blue water spot from above, I ventured underneath, suspecting that a structured under jetty photo might be possible. I am always on the lookout for these, as the symmetry and leading lines provided by a jetty above can make for a striking image. They are surprisingly rare though! I love the simple colours and beauty of this structure.

I have spent a lot of time recently doing unplanned photography, just waiting and stumbling across scenes and places that interest me, rather than seeking them out. Robe Jetty during a bright summers day is one of those. We were exploring the headland on foot, without a camera, when I turned the corner and saw this stunning scene. I quickly trekked back to get the camera and captured the scene. I went on to explore the jetty in other ways, and came up with another, under the jetty shot that stunned me.

Historians aren't sure where the name Misery Beach came from, most suspect it was due to the whaling industry of the area. The beach is in a secluded spot near Albany, WA and has won the best beach in Australia award recently. The white sand, blue water and idyllic waters lapping at the beach mean the award is well deserved.

The Elephant Rocks, located near Denmark in Western Australia, are a breath-taking sight during the day. This photo captures a cluster of large, smooth granite rocks that rise out of the ground, resembling the shape of elephants. The rocks are surrounded by lush green vegetation, providing a stark contrast against the natural grey colour of the granite. The sunlight is shining down, illuminating the surface of the rocks and casting shadows that accentuate the unique shapes and textures. The Elephant Rocks are a popular destination for hikers and photographers alike, as the unique geological formation and natural beauty of the area make for a memorable experience. The surrounding area is also rich in history and culture, with many local Indigenous stories and legends surrounding them.

Willie Creek Pearl Farm near Broome is an excellent spot to come and have a coffee or lunch, as we did this day. Out on a promontory, accessed over a tidal flat they have two ways to get in depending on how high the tide is! We had a peak high tide for this image, which shows as the water is up high over the normal boat ramp. Watch out for Crocs here, the salties live right near by!
