After a hard day trekking the Gibb River Road, a 30 minute walk brings you down to the magical Bell Gorge. We waited around until after sunset to get the even lighting I needed for this image. I trekked around the side of the gorge, across quite a few dodgy footholds before coming to this small outcropping that I thought would suit.

Intense colours characterize this amazing spot. Taken in the late afternoon, with sunlight bouncing down the gorge sides, this is some of the coldest water you will find in Australia, instantly numbing the body. I really love the structure of the rocks here as they reflect into the pool.

Historians aren't sure where the name Misery Beach came from, most suspect it was due to the whaling industry of the area. The beach is in a secluded spot near Albany, WA and has won the best beach in Australia award recently. The white sand, blue water and idyllic waters lapping at the beach mean the award is well deserved.

The Elephant Rocks, located near Denmark in Western Australia, are a breath-taking sight during the day. This photo captures a cluster of large, smooth granite rocks that rise out of the ground, resembling the shape of elephants. The rocks are surrounded by lush green vegetation, providing a stark contrast against the natural grey colour of the granite. The sunlight is shining down, illuminating the surface of the rocks and casting shadows that accentuate the unique shapes and textures. The Elephant Rocks are a popular destination for hikers and photographers alike, as the unique geological formation and natural beauty of the area make for a memorable experience. The surrounding area is also rich in history and culture, with many local Indigenous stories and legends surrounding them.

The Old Jetty at Hamelin Bay rests in the sand, having served it's time well as a timber jetty, whilst the Karri Forests of WA were being cleared and sent to London. Nowadays tourism is the biggest attraction, with friendly Stingrays that come and swim over your feet.

Just near the Most Westerly point of Mainland Australia, right on the Indian Ocean, Shelter Bay is aptly named. Winds plough over the dunes, leaving a little oasis of calm blue water and some campsites.

A very different view to that normally seen, I wasn't happy with the compositions I could see on the 'normal' side of the falls, so a slippery scramble across and my vision was fulfilled, the soft water flowing down the terraces of Fortescue Falls.

An Aerial footage of the incredible Willie Creek, as the blue water wends it's way up into the mud/salt flats, surrounded by Mangroves. This is prime Saltwater Crocodile territory, and you definitely wouldn't go swimming here, but the way that nature's beauty shines in this image captivates me.

It was a hard days driving to finally reach Hammersley Gorge, in the Karijini National Park. After a relatively easy walk down to the bottom of the gorge, the trek over to the spa pool was treacherous and sketchy. We waited until the sun had left the sky for this image.

Willie Creek Pearl Farm near Broome is an excellent spot to come and have a coffee or lunch, as we did this day. Out on a promontory, accessed over a tidal flat they have two ways to get in depending on how high the tide is! We had a peak high tide for this image, which shows as the water is up high over the normal boat ramp. Watch out for Crocs here, the salties live right near by!

Our second trip to this amazing location, 9 years apart! I knew I wanted something that included the domes, so was on the lookout during our 2 day visit here. Upon heading to Cathedral Gorge, and walking through the Domes, I was still a bit stumped, until we left the area and started heading back to the car. I noticed this path winding down towards the gap and thought it would be beautiful at a different time of day.
We drove the 45 minutes back here before sunset, with our fingers and toes crossed for a good one, and nature did not disappoint, we couldn't have asked for much better here!

A wonderful warm summer evening at Coogee Beach, near Perth, Western Australia. We stayed nearby at the Busselton Jetty Caravan Park, so that I was able to pop down as many nights as needed to try and capture this iconic location. Luckily on our 3rd night in Busselton I rode down and was lucky enough to be able to execute my concept image, with the sky and water playing ball.

This amazing country keeps calling me, long after having left. The Kimberley Region of Western Australia has some of the most interesting and dramatic scenery anywhere in our great land.
Lake Argyle represents an incredible engineering achievement, creating one of Australia’s great food bowls out of previously dry and arid grazing land. The Ord River Dam has backed the water of the Ord River up into one of the largest lakes in the country.
We camped on the shore of the lake the night before this image was taken and the sunset that night gave me great enthusiasm for the colours of the rock walls surrounding the lake. Walls that had been part of river canyons for countless years suddenly saw the evening light reflected onto them from the setting sun. We disembarked from our boat, wary of the freshwater crocodiles that dotted the shoreline, allowing me to get this image with the water of the lake calmed by a long exposure, before we headed back out on the boat for some champagne and a swim.
The lines from previous water marks on the wall create interesting patterns, as well as telling the history of the lake, and the small, stunted trees dotted on the wall immediately capture my interest.

The red rocks of the largest man made lake in Australia glow as the last of the setting sun hits them.
From this 4wd only lookout we captured an amazing vista with some of Australia's earthy tones.
