Four wheel driving around Adelaide River, late in the afternoon we reached our goal, Adelaide River itself, a place with a river crossing that my mate described as a "tropical paradise".
We reached the spot, and he was not wrong, the river gently flows over shallow rocks creating a continuous gentle flowing sound, and the canopy above took out most of the heat of the afternoon.
My mate actually fell asleep on the roof racks whilst I was taking this photo!
This Hilux has obviously had a bad time of it crossing the river when it had a lot more power to it, I doubt it will last another wet season.
Please enjoy this slice of the territory.

Jim Jim Falls, in Kakadu National Park created one of those life changing moments for me, the ones that you look back on in 10 years and can picture clear as a bell.
Walking in, boulder hopping and hoping not to drop all of my camera gear in the icy Outback water, I was running out of time to make it back to a spot I wanted to capture right at the last light of sunset.
I took the extra time to walk into the final pool here and it just absolutely took my breath away, that somewhere that is so changed by the seasons can be so beautiful.
I perched precariously atop a giant boulder, one of many strewn across this ancient landscape by the unstoppable flows of wet season water, and captured this panorama, stitched together from 5 separate images. It was the only way to attempt to capture the scale of this beautiful spot.
I took some time to drink it all in and really appreciate it, before heading back out to my patiently waiting wife.

A smallish waterfall in the Otways, Cape Range National Park, this waterfall is a 2km hike down into a rainforested gully, with a VERY slippery crossing past the rocks and the stream, perilously trying not to fall in!

After a hard day trekking the Gibb River Road, a 30 minute walk brings you down to the magical Bell Gorge. We waited around until after sunset to get the even lighting I needed for this image. I trekked around the side of the gorge, across quite a few dodgy footholds before coming to this small outcropping that I thought would suit.

These Pandanus fall gracefully into the calm waters of Berry Springs swimming hole, near the township of Berry Springs in the Northern Territory. The blues and greens in this image inspired me to head closer to the water and brave the light rain to capture the perfect composition.
Berry Springs is normally packed with tourists and locals seeking relief from the heat in these beautiful surrounds, however we attended the location after hearing that it was closed due to a crocodile sighting. I thought this would be a rare opportunity to create such a peaceful and serene artwork, from a location well known to many, that I had been visiting for years without being able to capture.

This image, taken on the road out of the Megalong Valley in the Blue Mountains, NSW, shows just how varied the landscapes in our beautiful country can be. The cool temperate climate here allows giant ferns to flourish by the side of the road.
This image brings peace of mind and the beauty of Nature to any room.

I spent about 45 minutes capturing this amazing spot and ended up with two amazing images, a vertical composition and this one, a landscape panorama image that shows the meandering creek flowing under the bridge of the track. My eyes are drawn to the beautiful mossy rocks and the large tree with roots stretching down to the water. The warm summer light filtering through the trees above gives vibrance and a delicate touch to the green ferns in this image.

After a long day exploring Litchfield National Park, we jumped into Bulley Rockholes for a relaxing hour. As we were leaving we chanced past this lower pool. After about 10 minutes I managed to get this image, without any people in it!

Taken from my Phantom 4 Pro drone, the large sensor does this location justice. The junior train of Walka Water Works winds alongside the bright lake, framed by fall trees. The small dots on the lake shore are ducks, and I even captured some turtles swimming.
This is a view not many people will ever see.

Sunset at Corindi Beach Point was magical this night. We were staying at the Reflections Caravan Park near Coffs Harbour, NSW where it is a short walk to the beach. Amanda convinced me to head out for sunset as the clouds were similar to the previous night where it unexpectedly lit up all around us while we were having dinner. I'm so glad she did as it was one of the most amazing sunsets we'd had in some time. I knew from swimming amongst the rockpools earlier that day that the water was a crystal clear blue so had already decided I wanted that in my artwork. This is the first of 3 images in this Corindi Beach collection as the sunset lasted a long time and changed so much, I couldn't resist continuing to capture three totally different works.

Crystal Shower Falls in full flow, cascade over the cliff edge through the lush rainforest in the Dorrigo National Park. Curtis Falls at Tamborine Mt in the Gold Coast Hinterland is a really special pocket of National Park Rainforest in the midst of roads and other tourism developments. A quick 15 minute walk from the Carpark leads you down to the falls themselves. Seriously calming, this place is full of wildlife and tranquility. This is my first released image taken on my new Sony A7RIV Camera. It took me a good 20 minutes of experimentation to get this shot just right.

A peaceful country evening settles on the Hunter Valley as the Paterson River flows under the Dunmore Bridge, one of many similar styles of bridge in the area.
I was lucky enough to meet the owner of this land, a farmer, as he returned home from tending cattle in the fields. We had a quick chat and he gave me permission to jump his fence which helped me to get this composition.
This warm historical piece will bring a country feel to any area of your house.

This was our third trip out to Merriwa, searching for the perfect Canola shot.
The rich brown earth of the region promotes Canola growth, and is even famous for it.
We drove just about every remote road out here searching, scouting for our upcoming fourth trip, when we came across this early season crop.
I set up and waited patiently for the clouds I could see in the distance to move into my composition. The clouds coming over were from a storm front we could see far away, something this extremely dry region hadn’t seen for a few months, could this shower bring just a small bit of relief for the farmers?
As the clouds started into my shot, they partially obscured the sun, allowing these sun beams to develop, highlighting the focal point of this image, the lone tree in the field, and leading your eye through towards the field of ripe Canola.

World famous, Eli Creek is known everywhere as an amazing place to relax and float down the creek, enjoying the peaceful natural environment.
On my second time down the creek I had my camera and tripod with me, and an idea for a composition that would showcase it's beauty. I loved the light blue water and the paperbark trees hanging over the creek as it flows down onto the beach year round.

Greg and Tarnya visited our Gallery in January as they had been looking to replace a canvas piece they had with something new and modern.
They always wanted a beautiful image of Lake Macquarie, but Greg also really liked the idea of bringing the outside in, by having a shot of their view from their balcony on their wall inside.
We discussed our commission service and Greg and Tarnya welcomed us into their home to capture the shot for them.
This amazing evening occurred on our second visit and attempt, after the weather not playing the part on our first visit.
The added bonus of a commission piece is you can be standing with us while we capture the image and they were. Greg and Tarnya were both amazed with the light show that Mother Nature was providing. They said "we have never seen this here before, the sun rays are amazing". Upon delivery and unveiling of their 80" Acrylic Face-mount print, they told us they still hadn't seen anything like that night since and that the print was "PERFECT!".
We loved getting to know and working with Greg and Tarnya and cannot wait to see the image once it is hung on the wall.

We didn't think this farmhouse photo would happen. I had to abandon my dinner halfway through to jump on my bike and race over to this beautiful old farmhouse next to where we were staying at Camp on Allyn. Fern Pool is one of those magical places that just sings to you. At the end of Dales Gorge in Karijini, and recently refurbished, this excellent swimming spot has warmish water coming over the falls, keeping the whole pool at a nice temperature. This photo was taken just inside the grounds of the Darwin Aeromodellers Club at East Point.
We went to East Point with the intention to take photos of the Harbour and mangroves at sunset. While I was scouting the location to find exactly what I wanted to capture, Amanda went for a walk.
She came hurrying back to me, saying that that I should see this beautiful tree and the sunset above it. I thought twice about it, but I had a little time before the sunset was going to light up where I was shooting, so wandered over to look at "the tree".
And this was what she saw, she was right, a stunning tree, with a stunning sunset above it.

This small unnamed creek in the Dorrigo National Park crosses the path as you walk down to the Crystal Shower Falls. I wasn't satisfied with the image from the pathway, so scrambled very carefully down to this spot. I captured a very very different image looking downstream, and turned around to leave when I spotted this composition up stream, back towards the path. The stream cuts down through the forest.

This artwork was created in the Nundle State Forest, near Tamworth, NSW. I had only just said to Amanda that I wanted to go for a drive down one of the side tracks when some strangers came and asked us for help with getting their car out of a bit of trouble. The kind and adventurous people that we are, said of course. We were on our way back out of the forest and we came across this beautiful scene, I couldn't help but stop for the capture. This one entailed me to sit up on top of our truck to get the height I was after, and it worked!

We were dying to go and find some beautiful autumn trees in the area as we love the colours they bring to life. We had heard about a rural community that proudly promoted having a great display of autumn so we did our usual and went for a drive.
It took some time for us to find something where the composition allowed you to drift into your own imagining and allow you to forget about the busy life each rural property entails. The white gates and the beautiful tree lined driveway combine to draw your eye into this image, getting lost in Autumn Splendour.
